Mission - The mission of the Environmental Education Foundation as a 501c3 not-for-profit organization is to provide financial assistance to educational programs that encourge conservation of the environment while raising environmental awareness in the minds of young people - the future stewards of our environment.

The Environmental Education Foundation was formed with the youth of tomorrow in mind. Our goal is to provide financial assistance to educational programs that stress environmental and conservation stewardship.
Why was the EEF formed? - Support for Envirothon is what started it all. The New York State Conservation District Employees Association decided it was time to form an organization which could raise funds to support this growing youth event. The foundation was formed in September of 2002. Since then, the foundation has grown with great success.
